"When the lie is deeper than I know, You capture me and You carry me home. You see these wounds and rescue me. You always heal things beautifully. And I close my eyes and You can still my heart. And I call out Your name...'Cause You always know, You always know where to find me...You always know."
Watermark - 'Where To Find Me'
MQ: Do you have a favorite song you've recorded?
Christy: There's one called 'Where to Find Me' and that's from that verse 2 Chronicles 16:9. Whatever season of life we're in, whether we're in the lowest valley we've ever been in or on top of a mountain rejoicing, He always knows where to find us... His eyes are upon us. I had a friend who was going through a very, very difficult time in her life. That song came out of just watching her be healed of some really deep sin and some strongholds in her life and watching God heal her of that...and just holding true to that promise that He knew where to find her in her deepest, darkest hour. Everybody goes through those times in life, and a lot of people related to and have been comforted by that song.
MQ: Can you give us some insight on any projects you have planned?
Nathan: We're actually mixing our new record right now. It's in the final stage.
Christy: We were at a little bit of a writers block back in the fall. We were given the opportunity to go and view '
The Passion of the Christ.' It was in November and it was in it's uncut version and all that. Gibson was there doing the Q & A. We had not heard anything about the movie. There was no buzz about it and it completely broadsided us.
We came home and pretty much wrote the entire record. It was a real release for us. Talk about inspiration. We're both very visual people and love art and it was just an amazing artful, beautiful movie, and obviously a story I've heard all my life...but being able to visualize it as close as we can visualize what Christ did. This record is very Jesus focused, definitely more towards the worship, even corporate....just because we do a lot of stuff with students with the Passion movement. We wanted to have more songs that we're able to do live at Passion events. Most of our stuff before that has been singer/songwriter and doesn't really fit with the 'One Day' or a corporate worship setting. We really have a heart for that. It's not that we were trying to fill any kind of shoes or anything. That's what we started out doing, so really we've come back to that. The record's called 'The Purest Place.' There's a track on the record called 'The Purest Place' that just talks about wanting to be in that purest place...the center of Jesus' heart and for God to keep us in that place.
We're excited about it. It comes out in August.
