“I think we hit a lot of different nerves in each of the songs. It just kind of came together.” - Amber

“We grew up on fifties and sixties rock and that's really the core of what we are and what we love. It's our favorite kind of style. So we wanted to put that into it and also have the pop side too.” - Sarah
We recently got to meet the sisters that make up this talented group and learn more about them, their music, and what they are passionate about...
MQ: Can you tell us about your family life, growing up together, and some of your musical influences...
Amber: One thing, we're a really, really close family.
Julia: We never fight! (laugh)
Amber: Yeah, we always say that - yeah, right...
Sarah: Our parents - they've supported us through everything we've been through - not just with music but with life in general.
And so, we're really a close family which has been a huge support. Especially being on the road, you know, having sisters with you is so amazing. We wouldn't have it any other way. We're so close. We know each other - and we're honest...
Amber: Very honest.
Sarah: Like Amber says - we don't fight, but sometimes we get into arguments and it's like, "Ok, that was wrong!" (laugh) You know?
Julia: - we make up! We're close. But, we grew up on fifties and sixties rock-n-roll. So that whole thing - like Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton. So we've been surrounded by music all of our lives. Our parents were into youth ministry. So, we started Christmas of 1997 actually. I was nine years old ... yeah, I didn't actually think they would listen to the youngest sister! But, we just wanted to get our message across like our parents were - and we just decided to do it through music.
Amber: Definitely, and I wasn't all for it at the beginning. Being the oldest, I was like, "I don't know if I want to been seen with my little sisters. I'm really shy - I don't want to do this." But God definitely had a plan for us that was way bigger than we had for ourselves. Obviously, just being here today is amazing for us. ... So, they got me into it.
Sarah: Somehow! (laugh)
Amber: I don't know how!
all: laughing
